Built in Vermont. Built for businesses that can't afford to get it wrong.
Vermont AI Systems is built on an uncommon partnership. Tim Parrow brings 20+ years of hands-on IT experience across Vermont's most demanding industries. Adie Stevens brings a rare combination of natural talent, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
Theirs is not a mentor/mentee relationship — it's a true partnership that combines the best of two generations, driven by a shared belief that this combination will lead to real innovation in private AI.
When you work with Vermont AI Systems, you're not working with a startup or a Bay Area AI firm that bolted on a compliance checkbox. You're working with two people who've built their reputations in Vermont — and who believe that Vermont businesses deserve access to the same AI capabilities as the enterprises, without the same data exposure risks.
Tim Parrow
Co-Founder & CEO · Vermont AI Systems
Tim spent two decades building and running Vermont MSPs — Pine Computers and Prosystem Technology — as the trusted IT infrastructure partner for regional businesses. Law firms, manufacturers, healthcare practices, financial advisors: he's seen their data environments up close, managed their compliance requirements, and earned their trust one server room at a time.
He brings deep expertise across four verticals where data exposure risk is existential: legal (attorney-client privilege, ABA Formal Opinion 512), insurance (GLBA, NAIC, NY DFS), healthcare (HIPAA, OCR enforcement), and manufacturing (ITAR, DTSA, NERC CIP). When Tim says a business can't afford to get AI wrong, he says it from having watched what goes wrong.
"The businesses that trust us with their AI are the same kinds of businesses I've been supporting since the early 2000s. The technology changed. The responsibility didn't."
— Tim Parrow, Co-Founder & CEOAdie Stevens
Co-Founder · Vermont AI Systems
Adie is a Champlain College graduate with a BS in Computer Networking & Cyber Security. He holds the CompTIA Security+ certification — a baseline credential for security professionals — and brings hands-on experience from his work at VIP as both an IT Support specialist and a Security Engineer.
His security background is a direct trust signal for the verticals Vermont AI Systems serves. Law firms, insurance carriers, healthcare practices, and manufacturers all face regulatory environments where data handling isn't optional — it's audited. Adie's credentials aren't decorative; they're the baseline for building AI systems that satisfy HIPAA, GLBA, ITAR, and other frameworks.
Your data never touches a public LLM. That's not a feature — it's the entire premise of the company. We build infrastructure where the data boundary is architectural, not contractual.
Tim and Adie don't have a mentor/mentee dynamic. They have a genuine partnership — combining experience with fresh perspective, Vermont roots with modern security expertise.
This isn't a Bay Area AI shop with a Vermont office. This is a Vermont operation built by people who've spent their careers earning trust in this state — one business at a time.
HIPAA, GLBA, ITAR, NERC CIP, ABA Opinion 512 — we build systems that satisfy these frameworks not because we added a checkbox, but because the architecture makes it inevitable.
Whether you're a law firm in Burlington, an insurance carrier in Montpelier, or a manufacturer anywhere in the US — if your data can't go public, we should talk.
